According to the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs, 60% of the male population and 50% of the female population will experience at least one trauma in their life. Exposure to trauma is the main cause for PTSD, (post traumatic stress disorder) however, not everyone who is exposed to traumatic events will necessarily develop PTSD. The fact that you develop PTSD is not a sign of weakness, it can happen to a professionally trained solider in warfare, or to a civilian who's is mugged in the street.
